Shining victory in Shanghai for the G-Drive Racing Ligier JS P2
G-Drive Racing has come away with another win in LMP2 class at the 6 Hours of Shanghai, the sixth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. The terrific trio of Roman Rusinov, Olivier Pla and Julien Canal, driving the #26 G-Drive Racing Ligier JS P2 Nissan-Dunlop, have given developer Onroak Automotive a second victory in a row for the Ligier JS P2, the fourth of the season for the team. Following up their win in Fuji, the trio are back in top form, leading from start to finish and delivering a flawless performance.

Runner Up Finish for ESM in Shanghai
Extreme Speed Motorsports (ESM) and Tequila Patrón earned its second consecutive FIA World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) podium. On Sunday afternoon in China, the No. 30 Tequila Patrón Honda Performance Development ARX-03b (HPD) team of Scott Sharp, Ryan Dalziel and Ricardo Gonzalez finished second in the FIA WEC 6 Hours of Shanghai. In its two FIA WEC races, ESM has earned two podium finishes.

Disappointing weekend in Shanghai for OAK Racing
Having finished on the podium at the FIA World Endurance Championship round in Fuji, the #35 Morgan-Judd LMP2 was entered again by OAK Racing this week-end for the 6 Hours of Shanghai. Chinese duo Ho-Pin Tung and David Cheng, recently winners in the Asian Le Mans Series with OAK Racing Team Total here in Shanghai a few weeks ago, were joined for this second home race by the American Mark Patterson in the #35 OAK Racing Morgan-Judd LMP2, shod on Dunlop tyres.
With such assets, the team and the drivers were heading to this race in high spirits: the performance, making it to the end, the consistency and the mechanical reliability were all present, but due to issues with the balance of the brakes, the team only managed to come away with a LMP2 sixth place finish.

KCMG's bid for LMP2 win ends early in Shanghai
KC Motorgroup Ltd’s (KCMG) attempt to claim LMP2 victory on home soil came to a premature end when the #47 Oreca 03R - Nissan incurred damage after a collision with a GTE Pro car on the opening lap of the 6 Hours of Shanghai.
A promising start to FIA World Endurance Championship’s sixth event at Shanghai International Circuit saw Richard Bradley, Matt Howson and Alexandre Imperatori complete two of the 90-minute free practice sessions in the top three despite tricky weather conditions. The Hong Kong-based outfit went on to secure second position on the LMP2 starting grid after Bradley and Imperatori posted a four-lap average of 1:55.301 during Saturday’s qualifying.
