Jack Aitken joins Cadillac line-up for upcoming WEC race at Spa

Cadillac Racing has confirmed that British driver Jack Aitken will join the American squad for the upcoming TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, round three of FIA WEC.

Aitken, a former F1 test driver, will join Sebastien Bourdais and Renger Van der Zande in the team's No. 3 Cadillac V-Series.R in the WEC's headline Hypercar category. Driving the team's sister car will be the No. 2 trio piloted by Earl Bamber, Alex Lynn and Richard Westbrook – the crew having claimed two fourth place finishes at both Sebring and Portimao so far.

Mike O'Gara, the team's Director of Operations, commented: “Chip Ganassi Racing is excited to have Jack join Sebastien and Renger in sharing driver duties for the No. 3 Cadillac V-Series.R at the Spa WEC race next week… this is just another example of the 'One Team' concept that Cadillac Racing is all about. We value Jack's feedback in the car, and hope that this strengthens the preparation for Cadillac Racing's assault on the 24 Hours of Le Mans this June.”

Next week's 6 hour race at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit in Belgium will get underway on Saturday 29 April at 12:45 local time.
