24H Le Mans Virtual after 2 hours: Veloce Esports and Team Redline battle for top spot
After the first two hours of action at the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual, the Veloce Esports 2 entry takes the lead of the LMP field. Dempsey-Proton Racing remains on top of the 20 GTE entries.
Below is a summary of the highlights in LMP and GTE during the second hour of #LeMans24Virtual
LMP:
- The Veloce Esports 2 No. 16 LMP car driven by Stoffel Vandoorne is currently leading the race ahead of the No. 20 Team Redline entry which is now in the hands of sim racer, Atze Kerkhof
- At the wheel of the Toyota Gazoo Racing No. 7 ORECA, José Maria Lopez is in third position - 22 seconds adrift from the leading car
- The No. 14 of FA / RB Allinsports driven by Fernando Alonso has withdrawn from the race
GTE:
- Dempsey-Proton Racing's No. 88 car retains the lead of the GTE category in the Porsche 911 RSR. However, the Corvette C7.R belonging to R8G Esports Team is close behind. Third is the No. 93 Porsche Esports Team in amother Porsche 911 RSR
- Three different manufacturers - Porsche, Corvette and Aston Martin - are currently in the top five in the GTE class
