Bandeirantes Group signs two-year agreement to broadcast FIA WEC in Brazil

The Bandeirantes Group will broadcast the FIA WEC throughout 2024 and 2025, with the Brazilian race - the Rolex 6 Hours of São Paulo - scheduled from 13-14 July in Interlagos.

The agreement sees the WEC broadcast via the Bandsports pay-TV channel, digital platform Bandplay and the Esporte na Band channel on YouTube.

The open TV channel Band and the Group's radio stations will provide journalistic coverage of the season, as well as live highlights of the Brazilian round. The package's debut will take place on 1 March for qualifying of the Qatar Airways Qatar 1812km.
The Brazilian race will be the fifth round of the year and sees the championship return to South America for the first time since 2014.

Brazil on the grid – The entry list includes 37 cars, 19 from the Hypercar category and 18 from LMGT3. Among them, two Brazilians: Augusto Farfus from Paraná and Nicolas Costa from Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to Brazil, Argentina and Chile will represent South America. Farfus is entered with Belgian Team WRT team aboard the No. 31 BMW M4 LMGT3. The team's second car will carry the No. 46 traditionally used by his teammate, multiple MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi.

Nicolas Costa, who is the 2023 Brazilian Porsche Carrera Cup Champion, has been confirmed to drive with United Autosports. The 32-year-old from Rio will pilot one of the two McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo cars prepared by the British team.
