How to watch the FIA WEC action from Bahrain
The 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship season finale – the Bapco Energies 8 Hours of Bahrain – gets underway today (31 October), with titles on the line. Read on for all the information regarding where to watch!
Action from Free Practice 3 on Friday (1 November) will be live to watch on the FIA WEC YouTube channel. For €8,99, qualifying and the race will be available via the official FIA WEC app (more info below).
ASIA + AUSTRALASIA
A pan-Asian TV deal with Eurosport for the Asia-Pacific region sees the race from Bahrain broadcast live on Eurosport Asia. Fans in Japan can tune into the full qualifying session and race (19:30 – 04:30 local time) on J Sports 3. Chinese viewers can follow live via online platform Douyin’s HeXin RacingChatterbox and 24hourSports channels (18:30 – 03:30 local time), with online channel StanSport televising FP3, qualifying and the race in full (21:30 – 06:30 local time) in Australia, as well as re-runs on-demand.
EUROPE
Eurosport platforms will show the WEC action across all of Europe including France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK, with the full eight-hour race live on Eurosport 1 from 11:30 – 20:30 CET (Eurosport 2 in France). FP3, qualifying and the full race will be available on Eurosport Player, Discovery+ and Max, depending on territory. Fans living in France can watch the full race free-to-air via either La Chaine L’Equipe or digital channel L’Equipe.fr. In Italy, viewers can tune in live via Sky Sport 257 (12:00 – 20:00 CET), while qualifying and the race will be broadcasted in full in Belgium on RTBF Auvio.
NORTH AMERICA
MotorTrend will show the full race live in the USA (06:30 – 15:30 ET), while digital channel MAX will broadcast FP3, qualifying and the full race both live and on-demand. Canadian residents can tune in on the Discovery-owned Velocity channel (live from 06:30 – 15:30 ET), with FOX Sports 3 showing the race live in Mexico in two parts (04:30 – 07:30 and 08:55 – 13:30 local time).
SOUTH AMERICA
BAND will broadcast the action live and free-to-air in Brazil. The agreement will see the race shown on BAND and on pay-TV channel BandSports (in two parts, 07:30 – 09:20 and 12:30 – 14:00 local time), with the full race on both FTA digital platform Bandplay (07:30 – 16:30 local time) and Esporte as well as on Grande Premio (FP3, qualifying and full race). DirecTV Sports will show the WEC action across Central and South America plus the Caribbean (excluding Mexico and Brazil) on its channel DSports Motor.
AFRICA
Long-term WEC broadcast partner SuperSport will televise the race to residents living in Sub-Saharan Africa.
OFFICIAL FIA WEC APP
FIAWEC.TV will broadcast the WEC race from Bahrain live on its online platform. This is available worldwide. Individual race packages are available to buy for €8,99. Available on the app will be qualifying, race replays and full English-language commentary from experts Anthony Davidson, Martin Haven, Graham Goodwin as well as pit-lane reporter, Bruce Jouanny.
