Da Costa confirmed to drive at home race in Portimao
Portugal’s Antonio Felix da Costa will compete at his home round of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Portimao next month (14-16 April).
Da Costa will not be present for round one in Sebring later this month but features on the entry list for round two – the 6 Hours of Portimao – with British run squad, Hertz Team JOTA.
"It's a great honour to have a World Championship round here in Portugal,” explained 31-year-old da Costa. “For me, it's awesome and we've won here before and we'll be trying to win again in front my home crowd now as Hertz Team JOTA. I'm very excited and looking forward to a great race."
Another home driver – Filipe Albuquerque – will also be competing on home soil with the No. 22 United Autosports entry. Both Da Costa and Albuquerque will be vying for the victory in LMP2, but there will be plenty of further action across the field with 11 entries in the headline Hypercar class and 14 cars in LMGTE Am.
