Fast facts from WEC Round 4 at Le Mans
The dust has now settled on this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, round four of the FIA WEC, and we’ve pulled together some of the best stats and information from this year’s race.
Overall Facts
- The No. 8 Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar did 1095 overtakes during this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans – more than any other car!
- The 61 starters at this year’s race combined to take 17,771 laps
- Conway claimed his 10th overall WEC win and is the third Briton to win Le Mans in the WEC era after [Allan] McNish and [Nick] Tandy
- Kobayashi’s ninth WEC win, fourth Japanese driver to win
- Eighth WEC win for Lopez – the second Argentine to win Le Mans, first since Jose Froilan Gonzales in 1954
- Toyota’s seventh WEC win in a row, equals their best streak from 2018-2019
LMP2 Facts
- First win for a Belgian-flagged team in WEC, in any class
- Habsburg was the first Austrian to win in LMP2
- No. 31 jumps to lead of WEC LMP2 standings

Ferrari became third marque to sweep GTE at Le Mans after Porsche and Aston Martin

- First win for Ledogar
- Ledogar seventh Frenchman to win in GTE Pro, four of those winning at Le Mans
GTE Am
- First win for AF Corse at Le Mans in GTE Am
- Three wins in 2021 for the reigning Am champions
- Seventh win for Perrodo, first at home. Becomes the winningest French GTE driver
- Fifth win for Nielsen, level with fellow GTE Am Le Mans winners Nicki Thiim and Matt Campbell
- Rovera becomes second Italian to win GTE Am with Ferrari, after 2015 eventual champ Andrea Bertolini
