Five months to go until Season 8!
Today marks just five months until the brand new WEC season gets underway, with the 2019-2020 competitors going head-to-head for the season-opening 6 Hours of Silverstone (1 September 2019).
Following Silverstone, the WEC will move to Japan for the 6 Hours of Fuji in mid-October. The championship will then remain in Asia as the cars and teams travel to China for the 4 Hours of Shanghai in November. Rounding out the year in the sun-soaked Middle East, Bahrain makes a welcome return to the calendar with an 8-hour race, before the WEC teams enjoy a short winter hiatus.
The beginning of February will mark a highly-anticipated return to Interlagos for the 6 Hours of São Paulo, before the teams travel to Sebring in Florida*. The WEC will then return to European soil for the final two races of the season – the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans where the new WEC World Champions will be crowned.
