Hanson Gets AF Corse Ferrari Deal for 2025

British ace Hanson will race the No.80 Ferrari 499P Hypercar in 2025

Phil Hanson will race for the No.83 AF Corse Ferrari 499P squad for 2025 after being confirmed as the team’s first nominated driver for next season today.

The 25 year-old has raced regularly in the FIA WEC since 2019 and prior to that made his debut at Le Mans in 2017 as a 17 year-old and becoming the then youngest overall finisher in the race.

His record of achievement includes Asian Le Mans and European Le Mans Series titles in the LMP3 and LMP2 classes, as well as taking the FIA WEC crown in 2020.

The British driver is also a former 24 Hours of Le Mans LMP2 class victor as he took the 2020 crown along with teammates Filip Alburquerque and Paul di Resta with the United Autosports operation.

This season Hanson has competed with teammates Jenson Button and Oliver Rasmussen in the No.38 Hertz Team Jota Porsche 963, taking a best result so far of sixth at Fuji last month.

AF Corse Ferrari confirmed that Hanson will get his first taste of Ferrari power at the official WEC Rookie test this Sunday.
