FIA WEC rookie Edgar pumped for ‘amazing opportunity’ with TF Sport

As he prepares to make his FIA World Endurance Championship debut in Qatar next month, TF Sport LMGT3 ‘Silver’ signing Jonny Edgar has hailed the ‘amazing opportunity’ he has in front of him.

Edgar was recently announced as one of the three drivers of the British outfit’s #33 Corvette Z06 GT3.R in 2025, alongside Daniel Juncadella and Ben Keating – but while the 20-year-old might be new to the championship, he is not new to the team, having clinched the European Le Mans Series’ LMP2 class crown last season running under the AO by TF banner, winning at Spa-Francorchamps and tallying three further podium finishes with Robert Kubica and Louis Delétraz.

That was Edgar’s maiden full campaign in endurance racing, following a promising stint in single-seater competition that included five years as a member of the Red Bull Junior Team. The rising British star is keen to continue his positive momentum over the coming months.

“I’m very grateful to get to race in the FIA World Endurance Championship in the Corvette Z06 GT3.R,” he enthused. “It’s great to be competing with TF Sport again after the success we had together in ELMS.

“Racing in FIA WEC and the 24 Hours of Le Mans is an amazing opportunity for me and I’m looking forward to my first LMGT3 season. My team-mates are great too, with Ben having already won Le Mans and the FIA World Endurance Championship with Corvette, and Dani having had a lot of success in GT3 racing. I’m sure I can learn a lot from both of them. I can’t wait to start the season in Qatar!”
