Lamborghini Squadra Corse has unveiled the first technical specifications of its Hypercar which will contest the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2024.
Lamborghini has elected to use an 8-cylinder, 90-degree V-angle twin-turbo internal combustion engine developed by company’s motorsport department, Squadra Corse and this will sit alongside the LMDh single-source Energy Recovery System (ERS) with a combined output of max 500 kw (681 hp).
The chassis will be designed in conjunction with Ligier Automotive with the carbon fibre produced in Italy by HP Composites, Squadra Corse long-term partner in GT3 and Super Trofeo platforms.
