Porsche continues its ‘Racing for Charity’ initiative for Le Mans

At next month’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, round four of FIA WEC, Porsche will donate 750 euros for each lap driven by its three cars competing in the headline Hypercar category.

The sum raised from ‘Racing for Charity’ will then be distributed to three charitable initiatives supporting seriously ill children and their families.

In 2023, the company supported 150 projects worldwide. As part of ‘Racing for Charity’, Porsche is continuing this commitment in motorsport at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, comparable to similar initiatives in football and tennis.

As was the case in 2023, the proceeds will go to three organisations. Last year, at the 100th anniversary of Le Mans, Porsche Penske Motorsport’s three Porsche 963 Hypercar challengers completed a total of 733 laps. This resulted in a 549,750 euro donation, which Porsche topped up to 911,000 euros.

Porsche achieved first place in the ACO’s ‘Sustainable Endurance Award’ with the ‘Racing for Charity’ initiative in 2023. The two 963 works racing cars adorned the logos of the fundraising initiative at the recent WEC race in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium.
