Saturday sun at Shanghai
Shanghai dawned bright and sunny for the WEC paddock on Saturday ....
In a contrast from a damp Friday, the FIA WEC paddock woke up to blue skies and sunshine this morning as preparations for the final Free Practice and all-important qualifying later today.
As the FIA WEC Super Season heads into its second half the interest is building as the title fights ramp-up in all four classes.
The challenging 5.451-kilometre circuit is critical on tyres due to its abrasive surface. With LMP1, LMP2 and LMGTE Pro having a strict allocation of 18 tyres for qualifying and the race, all eyes will be on strategy and also the weather for the race on Sunday.
Saturday sees a 60-minute Free Practice session at 09.50 local time and qualifying from 14.00.
