- Sebastien Buemi in No.8 Toyota stopped the clocks on 1m54.768s to head Jose Maria Lopez in the No.7 car by 1.586s
- Jenson Button had led the way with No.11 SMP Racing BR1-AER after setting best time of wet session on 2m00.369s
- Non-Hybrid LMP1 cars initially placed 1-2 as Neel Jani sets second best time in No.1 Rebellion Racing car with a time just 0.2s slower than Button
- Late time improvements as track dried saw No.17 SMP Racing car claim third position with Matevos Isaakyan setting lap of 1m58.880s
- Fourth quickest and enjoying best session for many events was the ByKolles ENSO CLM P1/01 as Tom Dillmann shines
- Rebellion Racing ultimately place fifth and sixth as No.3 finishes ahead of No.1 car
- BMW Team MTEK top LMGTE Pro after lap of 2m09.830s by Martin Tomczyk

- TDS Racing third as Loic Duval sets best time for French team
- Early session time from Matt Campbell in No.77 Dempsey Proton Porsche 911 RSR looked good enough for class LMGTE Am lead
- But the TF Sport Aston Martin driven by Charlie Eastwood topped the times with a 2m13.201s lap for P1 in class
