FP3: No. 8 Toyota continues to lead the way; Porsche fastest in LMGTE Pro

Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Brendon Hartley proved to be quickest again in the final free practice session in Bahrain before qualifying later this afternoon.

The No.92 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR topped LMGTE Pro as Kevin Estre set blistering pace. No.38 JOTA fastest in LMP2, and LMGTE Am is led by points leading No.83 AF Corse Ferrari.

Hypercar  

  • Toyota Gazoo Racing 1-2 again in 60-minute free practice session for Bapco 8 Hours of Bahrain 
  • Brendon Hartley is on form again as he sets 1m48m.346s lap leads sister No.7 car by 0.3s  
  • Kamui Kobayashi is fastest driver in No.7 car again on a 1m48.777s as he and No.7 crew aim for first Hypercar title

LMGTE Pro

LMGTE Am  

  • Matteo Cairoli tops another session for Team Project 1 Porsche as he peaks on a best lap of 1m58.696s 
  • Niklas Nielsen places No.83 AF Corse Ferrari in second position as points leaders hold 21.5-point lead heading into Saturday’s race 
  • Cetilar Racing continue strong pace as 1m58.926s is set by Roberto Lacorte 
  • Session red flagged after debris spread by spinning No.60 Iron Lynx Ferrari which spends most of session having repairs in pit box with a suspected gearbox problem
