Le Mans Esports Series: New qualifying round during 6 Hours of Shanghai weekend
In tandem with the fifth round of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) this weekend at Shanghai, the Le Mans Esports Series championship is gearing up for the third qualifying round, an online competitive race at the Yas Marina circuit.
A third team for the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Six competitors have already qualified for the Super Final that will take place during the 24 Hours of Le Mans and see players from all over the world going head to head on Forza Motorsport 7 for 24 hours next June. The first team joins JSR Commando, JSR Craviator and Harmonic, and the three winners of the Silverstone round, each in their respective regions (Europe, Asia, North America).
A second team joins Shoma “JSR AziDhk” Takaya, who qualified during the Fuji round, with FTR Bowkett and THR Vanquish who qualified online.
Three new players will secure their spots after the qualifying round scheduled during the Shanghai race this weekend. They'll test their skills online at the Yas Marina circuit (since the Shanghai track is not available on Forza Motorsport 7). Who will qualify and go on to clinch the win?
Le Mans Esports Series 2018-2019, Act 3
Interest in the Le Mans Esports Series (www.lemansesports.com) is at an all-time high with both top level players and amateurs battling for a coveted place in the competition.
Several Esports teams are participating in qualifying but so far none of their players have made it. Such is the case for Advocatus Diaboli and Team Highlands Racing. We are also awaiting the fate of certain high-profile players like Raceboy77, second at Silverstone then third at Fuji in the North American zone. The Canadian is a major player in the world of Forza Motorsport.
The fates of top-notch French players are still up in the air as well, such as Williams Seven, G2 Laige, Vitality Asix and ESC Chris. Or perhaps there will be an upset by an amateur player since the competition is open to all!
